I am forgiven too. Enjoy your BBQ. You deserve a few cold ones afer today's effort. :D

The liner was quite easy, Putting the locking strips in the screen rubbers without the correct tool, now that was fun. My thumbs still hurt now.

Right put fly wheel and clutch on today. Realised I didn't have a sandwich plate so that coming tomorrow.
Tried the box on and my mod'd manifold front pipe combo wouldn't clear the box so I mod'd them some more
Image
Image

They are fully welded now re wrapped and de braced. All ready to bolt up.
Notice ballanced clutch and flywheel.
Then I went to turn the engine over just to make sure. It was seazed sold. Fooking hell I nearly cried. Turned out I had forgotten, didn't know about releaving the sump for M20 flywheel. Joda told me about that and saved me form setting fire to the fooking thing. Thanks Dan. All done and bolted back up now. Sandwich plate tomorrow and box on and in the car. Whoooo

Yep I don't see why not Lee my good man.

I will need BMW to deliver the sandwich plate and for nothing else to need doing. As far I can see it been on the stand too long!

Plus I am the only CR24v member without 24v's. All changes tomorrow campers. 8)

Dezzy the only problem you might have with the front pipes is where they pass the wishbone rear bush carrier, its very tight in that area.
Cant go wrong with large diameter tube 8)

There will be more weld than tube if I need to cut it up again mate. I think I will get a full system made at some point but this will do fine for now. 54mm ftw 8)
