Hi Guys,
Just wanted to ask you views on getting a german styled number plate here in the UK? Has anyone had this done
What are the legal limits into achieving a realy good german styled number plate (are dashes and badges allowed?)
Images would be nice..
thanks, trip

Why do you want to make your car appear german?
AFAIK these plates are incorrect too, this is the FE font issued after 1994 the correct font for an e30 would be the DIN font used on older german cars.
You can get pressed alloy plates made up in a UK font too which are legal providing they have a reflective background.

Personally, i like them!!! Had a pair on mine (from dubmeister) for a long long time before they got me a penalty!! I'd been pulled over for other stuff and they hadn't even commented on the plates (and they were spaced illegally!), but then one day, they hunted me down and gave me the fine!!!
Plod did say that they wouldn't have pulled me if it wasn't for them having a big crackdown in that area that weekend!! He even said they looked good!!
All down to a bit of luck and your local boys in blue really!! If there's no other reason to pull you, chances are they won't want the paperwork!!
