Sorry for a random post but maybe one or two of you have kids?

I sold both my rovers so unless someone finally offers me a decent amount for the e30 its gonna be mine for a while...

Little un has a mama's and papas primo viaggio seat but it only fits in the front which is a pain when the other half is driving..

So what seats fit in the back of the e30's? standard flat seats.

we have a 320i 2 door saloon (my wifes) and a 325i touring (mine) and we use maxi-cosi priory xp's. our 3 year old can easily climb in and our <1 year old fits fine too. it's a bit of a pain getting them into a 2 door, the 4 door touring being a lot easier but all in it's ok. if you pull the straps down and lock them in (the seats have clamp thingies) they sit in very snug indeed.

the maxi-cosi stuff is streets ahead of the rest safety wise...

can be found cheap online... don't pay halfrauds money!!!

maxi-cosi priory xp's are the daddy, we have to kids and two of these seats, reasonably priced too, recaro seats are very "cool" but also a very "cool" price tag, Woody's just a show off :teehee: only kidding dude, in my opinion you cant go wrong with the maxi cosi, slots in and out in a matter of seconds and is a real stury and protective seat

the recaro is very cool but at the end of the day is not as safe and that's my highest priority. the recaro is supposed to be better with older kids but direct from an infant carrier there's little support. iirc it also simply uses the shoulder belt... could be wrong though. oh, then there's the cost. you need an extra kit to fit teeny tots in it. then if like me you have 2 kids, that's half what my tourer cost me!!!

for those with a sport, maxi cosi do (or did?) one with an anthracite cover that's a near perfect match! (their colours do cahne fairly often)

i did have a red 205 gti... these also have red carpets and trimmings... maxi cosi do covers to match this too! :P winkeye

If you shop around you can get the extra pack free for the recaro and there are loads of different coloured covers for it,
My small one is 4 and its fine but the is a min size weight for it so
no good for a new born.

cheers for the info guys! a maxi-cosi it is then :-)

Ive seen a nice recaro, but i think i best wait til he is older so can get him a bigger one that lasts and isnt such a waste of money!

Its best to wait to get the recaro as like i said there is a minimum size for them. My little girl was 2 when we got it and the whole seat frame is adjustable so it can grow with them. People say its a lot of money but it will last years and is very well made and thought about plus you get changable covers to suit car or even just to keep them clean.
