Is the 323 inlet the same as the 325?
Will it give the extra airflow of a 325?

Nope, 323 inlet is the same as the other M52 inlets, the only engine you will find the large manifold on is an M50B25

Marc was running his M30 tourer on the strip, but his problem was getting traction of the line as he kept spinning his wheels in 1st/2nd oh and 3rd.

yes I was there and I Rember marc saying he had too much power to get traction, then he had clutch slip and wheel spin in 3rd gear.
Never known a car with a slipping clutch to loose traction in 3rd gear lol
So , any reason you won't run uo the strip ?

The only reason I never made the strip was lack of experience.Kos wrote:yes I was there and I Rember marc saying he had too much power to get traction, then he had clutch slip and wheel spin in 3rd gear.

M30's are meant for driving a big propellor on something with a rudder. Or a 7 Series, whichever is the more nautical.......Kos wrote:yes I was there and I Rember marc saying he had too much power to get traction, then he had clutch slip and wheel spin in 3rd gear.

Is it more or are M30's getting a real kicking lately?! A bit more than they deserve perhaps? Amusing thread though!

Ha ha, well i'm going to play the boring safe middle man and say they both have their own appeal!
I go through phases, sometimes i'll yearn for the savage torque of the m30, sometimes the progressive peakier m50.
It can't be denied though, the m30 has the better figures as it comes!

Both great engines in there own right imo . I have the m30 in my touring and if i get another project i will go m52.
Whats the difference between the inlet off a e34 525 m50 and the inlet from on a e36 325.?
Part number 11611738940 when crossed ref its the same as the e36 320.will there be no benifit using it?
