Hi All,
just a quickie!!
was driving my 1990 320i this morning and thought i'd give her some beans!!(dont do that very often),When accelrating after 4k rpm it seems to have a power surge! the only way I can discribe is a bit like a turbo kicking in!!!.is this normal??

Yes, the 320i does eventually pick up its skirts and fly a little at higher revs. You could make it go even better with a chip

a mito? lol i had one of them right up my arse till about 120 in my 325 before, jeasus it was quick. i've never rid one though. my aprilia was a 95 i think, the carb was bloody huge, totally illegal for a 17 year old lol but hay the coppers would have to catch me first!

If a 320i kicks like a turbo you must only ever have driven shite turbos!
More likely that you've got a flat spot low down and the 'kick' is it starting to run properly. Has it had a proper service recently?

once i get a bit older and i dont have to pay 2 grand a year for insurances i will probably get a mito just to rag about in. useto ride 600's but i lost my license once and nearly lost it twice in the space of two years so i'll give that up till i can control my wrist a bit more
