Hey,

Some of the spark plugs have some traces of oil on them, I am thinking of replacing the rocker cover gasket - which I believe is a seal around the rocker cover. I have ordered one for £8.

Apparently it will be £40 in labour costs, so I am thinking of having a go myself...

I will be looking through the manual to see whether there is a section on this?

Can anybody please advise/help?

Thanks
Nicks

It's a 1987, 2.0l straight 6 if that helps?

Thanks, that helps, I will start by looking through the manual, see what I can find

I have most of the manual printed, any idea where I can download a full copy?

Bloody hell if you need a manual to undo a few bolts.
You must need a encyclopedia to work your radio

This is the easiest job on your engine by far, relax :D
While you are there do your valve clearances - get a 10mm open wrench, a 3mm allen key and a 0.25mm feeler gauge, and read this: http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/inde ... M20_engine

1 hour includes going to the shed to get the tool box then finding the right size socket which is never able to find easily then undo it all and have some sandwhiches and tea then refit the new stuff
