Anyone else heard that certain places will tint your windows and pass it off as a windscreen claim? (Normally Ԛ£50 on your insurance.)

Want mirrored windows on my van, would rather my insurance co footed the bill under the missapprehension I was having my windscreen replaced.... :D

i dont know about that mate, all claims count against you so you ll just end up paying for it next year. you can buy the tint film as a kit for specific motors already shaped for about 40 quid, its easy enough to do yourself if you take your time :nono:

Had my van window tinted for Ԛ£70, not really worth trying to rip off the insurance company for the sake of Ԛ£20. Especially as they might see this as a claim and bump up your premiums in the future....
