i,m picking up a pair of front fogs soon and was wondering if anyone can tell me if the wiring is already in place on bmws that didn,t have them as standard.

yes. tucked up in the headlight area.
you will need relay K8, 2x7.5A fuses and the double light switch.

i was hoping that would be the case :) nice simple job and i should be able to get the fuses and the switch from the car when i get the lights

yes it's a silly question!

rope a small child into fitting the bulb to the back of the cluster with the promiss of a bar of chocolate :lol: (Small hands required).

or remove the cluster from the dash (13 screws in total)

Thanks for the info. I've got the lights and the switch for mine,just need a relay and fuses now :)

fitted my fogs yesterday all working fine and i only cut myself once :o i justed wanted to say thankyou for the advice to everyone that replied

as promised a few pics for muleskinner.

the small white clips are what the foglights screw into i had to remove the front bumper to get these off the donor car you have to get these from the front with a pair of pliers and turn 90 deg then just push them through.it would be alot easier to buy some from bmw but i didnt know i needed them until i started.

the relay that sits here the two 7.5a fuses must have already been in place as i didn't need them

the double switch just pull out the old one and swap


all the wiring was wrapped up behind the headlights as suggested
