do you think all older cars lose bhp over the years?
Just had my H reg 325i touring on a dyno run and is still 167bhp... no engine mods at all,not bad i think?

Some seem to loose quite a bit of power and some don't loose any at all.Had my 318iS on the dyno last year when it was totally standard and it made 138bhp,so actually gained some :D .It is mostly to do with how the car is minded I suppose.

HP drop off is for 'other makes'. Any E30 engine should produce all its horses, providing the injectors are working properly, assuming adequate servicing and maintenance.

How do you test if the injectors are OK?

Most injector cleaning shops can measure the flow rate and operation of the injectors however once you've removed them and taken them to the injector cleaning place you might as well have them cleaned and rebuilt.

:o: What does that say about my previous engine Brian, dyno'd at 133bhp :( It's probably been reshaped into tins of beans by now!
New engine has 168bhp though so all is happy in my driveway.
