Anyone used Tarox discs????

A bit pricey, so wondering if they're amazingly good???
I've managed to find out the 0512 discs have a box weight of 10kg's, but no one can give me a specific weight!!
Anyone know how they compare to the Brembo discs or OEM BMW discs??[/img]
Brakes again!!!! Anyone used Tarox?????????

In my opinion there really is nothing to gain by getting these discs. Get a pair of Discs from BMW and then splash out on some really good pads such as Peformance Friction 01 compound.

Or Performance Friction 06 Compound. 99% of the functionality of 01, but at least twice the life!

Exactly what i was thinking - just making sure i wasn't missing a trick!!!!!!!Theo325 wrote:In my opinion there really is nothing to gain by getting these discs.
To be fair, the guy selling them has been really helpful, but even he said it would have to be the F2000 discs which are designed for 'light track'.
Not exactly convincing me to consider them at that price!!!!!

I use tar-ox g88 disc's, and up until recently the tar-ox corsa pad's (nla) They work fantasticly in all condition's although once warm they will try and put you through the windscreen.
I paid just under 200 for the front set up and the rear's wern't much less. I have just given in and swapped to the ebc yellow stuff pad's at the front and they seem to work well with the disc's.

You have PM. And there are plenty of 06 Compound pads available from BimmerWorld. People are using them all over the world in E30s (Australia, NZ, UK, and lots in the USA), so I don't see them being totally discontinued any time soon.

Ive just ordered a full set of these 06 pads for my car , from Co-ordsport. But i called the UK importer first to see if they could do a better deal.
They told me that there is no more 06 compound front pads in the UK...[ I bought the last set].
And they didnt know if they would get any more...They didnt sound very confident as to wether there was many in the USA either...
Oh and i got a better deal from Co-ordsport....

Sometimes the left hand doesn't talk to the right hand... Performance Friction makes a great product, but it's often hard to find out about it!
