Oh yeah, today i got her up'n'running again!
No rattling noises anymore, some lifter tappeting but that sound will go away after a while (the engine has been sitting for long time)..
So this is a good start for this year, now there's quite a bit of cleaning and little thing sorting to do but lots of time..

Finally all starts to come together nicely.. Got couple of parts blinged

Custom radiator arrived;

"Refurbished" the front lights;

Rear shock absorbers were shortened and stiffened, all kind of small parts have arrived etc etc..
The cabrio is going to a car show on easter so i've to get her ready. Hopefully i get coolant in and engine ran warm today

Yea yea, screwed the engine bay back together, drove the car out and let it run for 45mins. Temps ok, oil ok, coolant ok so now it seems to work fine!
Now all that remains to be done is just some bumper-bolting and minor touches
Some more pictures here.

Woohoo, now she's all ready!
Washed her three times and did some claybar-cleaning. Next weekend is for waxing and finishing touches and then it's off to car show and waiting for summer

Long time no updates but this week i got the cabrio inspected.
I upgraded the battery;

Today we aligned the wheel angles (2 deg '20 camber in the rear and 1deg '30 in the front) with my friend and i drove small 100km test drive, here's one pic.

So nothing big left to do anymore, just driving and some really minor things to be done..
Oh yes, we measured the weight-distribution also which is 55/45. The weight is distributed evenly on the axles also so it's surprisingly good

Thanks
"how to" - well, that has been done on www.e30.de and someone translated it to english @ r3vlimited or e30tech, don't remember which one. I think i'll add some comments to it, though.
Weight is around 1400kg with full tank of petrol.

Yap, not bad at all.
Couple of pictures from last weekend's cabrio cruising
1000km's driven without problems, though one propshaft (or is it driveshaft which goes from diff to hub) leaks so gotta find new one..

Oh well, that was end of the summer then. On tuesday i put my cabrio "out of road usage" for the winter.
Got around 6000km to the clock during the summer, so it was really good
Next winter i'm just going to change the roof and driveshafts to brand new ones and wash the whole car throrough.
