If it was resprayed and they didn't add enough lacquer, take it back to them.
I'd give it a good polish before taking it back though, as that's what they'll probably tell you to do.

What colour is it? I'm sure it's a cutting paste you put on a buffer if it's a solid colour and then polish up after that, as colin says if it's a base coat and lacquer then I would be taking it back.

Mate DO NOT TOUCH IT YOUR SELF..... I cant believe people tell you to sand it with 2000... You dont even know how much clear is on it and by the sound of it your not to sure what to do anyway...
As Bob S said take it back to the place that did the work for you...
Was it like this when you first got it?
How long did it take to get like this?
You need to explain a few things first... Was it sprayed in acrylic or 2pak? How much did you pay?
All these things would help explain why it is like this..

if its a metalic paint, which i presuming it macau blue then it would of had laquer from the body shop on top of the base colour
but for a 1200 paint job i'd only expect it to last a year or so, so you have no grounds for complaints to be honest
you can not just laquer it now

I was about to say the same thing! Decent paint and laquer along with thinners and stuff would cost most of the money you paid so for a full colour change for £1200 goodness knows what cheap crap they used. I also agree you cant take it back a year later saying it doesnt shine enough! Take it to a decent body shop and speak to them about possibly having a blow over and see how much they want. This yet again shows that when it comes to paint YOU REALLY DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, bar a few exceptions! I hope you manage to sort it outKos wrote:if its a metalic paint, which i presuming it macau blue then it would of had laquer from the body shop on top of the base colour
