it is a one piece switch and bulbholder that should be there, it fits in a hole about 10mm in size just across from the latch part

In true Blue Peter style, heres one I took earlier....BrAdZ wrote:anyone able to take a picture of where it should be?

It just pushes up into the hole where the wires are coming through.

How much did you pay for this car? from your recent activity and the sellers confidence of it being mint it appears its full of problems?? After working on Jits car it had none of this and according to your seller it was far from mint!

a tip for fitting the glovebox light, make sure you disconnect battery or full out the appropiate fuse otherwise it will short against the live terminal as you clip the light in

It probably fell out.William wrote:maybe mine's just got taken out at some point.
Mine launched itself into the footwell when I was doing some bits of wiring round there for the conversion.
The light fitting is quite fiddly to fit back in whilst keeping it in one piece, so it maybe fell out and its not been put back.

I paid less than I could have done but it was enough. As a car to work on Andrew, the things that matter are mint. I'm just sorting out all the little things. Anything that is expensive to put right is in vgc - mechanics, bodywork, wheels, interior etc. The odd electrical bit and piece of trim here and there needs some attention but apart from that I'm very pleased with my purchase. It IS 15 years old nearly so you have to expect some little niggles that perhaps previous owners haven't picked up on. I'm sure Jit's car was very nice, mint etc bla bla bla but I wanted a motorsport, and Im very happy with it. I'm sure you'll see it before longDemlotcrew wrote:How much did you pay for this car? from your recent activity and the sellers confidence of it being mint it appears its full of problems??
