did a spray repair job on metallic, and now need to polish in the new section to match the old. I was looking at 3M Fast Cut, but I don't want anything too abrasive. Can anyone recommend the right polish for me?

Also, I've got a rotary polisher and I'm not afraid to use it :)

I read on here that the Farcala stuff doesn't break down as you use it, so it's a bit old fashioned. But if it gets the thumbs-up from you lot...

G3 is horrible messy stuff, go get youself some 3M products or Menzerna, to be honest though if you're using it by hand you'll be there a long time and you won't get the best possible finish, ideally you need a rotary DA polisher, even G3 is supposed to be used with a machine.
I really don't understand the obsession with G3, it's the most aggresive abrasive polish in the farecla range and is not designed as a one step product, it should be followed with something like G10 which is a finishing polish, this removes the light swirls that G3 leaves behind, ideally the paint should then be finished down further with something like a glaze.

Sorry just re read you post, you already have a rotary, in which case buy the pads to go with the 3M polish.

I used to use G3 all through my carrear but now have changed to G6 Rapid and then G10 and finish with a Glaze.

I think 3M stuff is far superior, each to their own tho.
