After last years innaugral running/route assessment for the Heilin Hoon, It's time to present it to the general masses.
The Scottish meet organisers presents some of the finest driving roads available North of the Watford Gap.
Dates for the 2010 trip is as follows
August 28th & 29th
Departing Ft William at 9.30am Sat 28th with a (late) lunch stop at Applecross, before heading to Ullapool for the overnight stop
We'll be finishing at Aviemore late on the Sunday afternoon(about 4.30 ish) so folks can get home at a reasonable time.
Some of us will be meeting in Ft William on the Friday evening to sample/partake in some local hospitality.
Saturday will see us taking in some spectacular scenic Highland hills and Glens and a nice mountain pass(or 2) as part of the route(s).
Sunday will see us heading across to the East coast before heading South past Inverness and onward to Aviemore.
Each individual will be responsible for there own accomadation, as no doubt, everyone will have different preferances and budgets
Those already confirmed

For those who will be in the Fort on the Friday.
How does you feel about meeting up for food about 7.00-7.30pm ish?
Get a bite to eat and a beverage or 2?

Looks as if I won't get the Friday off unless I pull a sickie.
Here's hoping I'm not rostered to work on the Saturday as well.
Damn this new 4 day rostering at work

OK folks.
We've found a wee place just outside Gairloch which might suit our needs for the Saturday night.
Nothing fancy, but claims to offer some decent views.
Carry outs would be the order of the day tho
http://www.hostelbookers.com/property/i ... tyid=12898
It woyld give us a bit more driving/sightseeing time, or we just press on to Ullapool as originally intended.
Thoughts??
