Hey, don't knock Freelanders. I've an R-reg one, and it recently towed out some berk in a Mitsubishi Warrior that got stuck in a muddy field!

One of the worst BMW's ever built. Slow, horribly undergeared and shite on fuel. The very least you want is a post '81 1.8 5 speed.
