Make sure you provide us with plenty of updates, check the inner arches, they love the tin worm in there on e21's

Not bad for £105, transporting it shouldn't cost more than say £60-70.

I searched completed listings and found it at the price bracket

M52 into one of these is a complete Ballache, you have to source a 323i subframe, and make your own mounts.
M30 is easier, route i'm going down, and remember in order for the speedo to wotk, you need to retain the origional 4 speed box, as the speedo works of the gearbox.
Good buy though, keep it, don't let it go.
I have bought loads of bits for mine, i've had it in storage for 18 mths now, B8 bilstiens, 323i subframe, Alpina M30 mounts, recaros, the list goes on and on.

Yes but your not limited just to E12's as ive said. I just listed all the models that have a suitable 5 speed box that will work with a cable drive speedo and is compatible with an M30.

Other option is to do a complete E30 rear sub conversion, then you have the Diff, and use and E30 speedo in the dash, has been done, and I think its a better choice of range of diffs too.

If i had an E21 it would just get a M20B28 and later motonic.

Keep it looking period'ish in the bay.

Ye mate I will deffo be in touch when i get it, I was speaking to someone from the e21 forum last week as i was gonna buy his e21 project, dunno if you know him, drjim? Really nice guy and gave me a load of info. He couldnt part with his e21 though, he loves it too much
