looks sold to me.
Looked a nice one. One thing to think about is that wood trim. Any sport (mine included) of this vintage with wood appears to be an import. mine came in from Belgium, not an issue so far TBO.
Nic colour Imola. Nice with the black leather as well and the parallels. On the money too. Personally I'd hold out for the 3.0i as I did. It's a big step in power / torque over the 2.5.

Yes the m54. It's the best of both worlds TBO. The 6's had the rack and pinion steering and are lighter over the nose.Falkster wrote:The 530 is six pot mate.e30topless wrote:cheers trevit's not sold, the owner just ended the advert

V8 3.5 and 4.4's had the e34 style steering box. Not too much of an issue really but the 6's deffo drive sharper.
I'd be having a look at this an all? Excellent spec.

Steve, my best mate Ric (a zoner) has a 52 reg 530i sport, black with black leather, 18" paralels, tv/nav FBMWSH in very good conditon with 93k.
I looked a 6 530i sports for him traveling all over the country even as far as liverpool before finding this one. There are alot of scrap ones about now due to the age of them but this one realy is nice.
Just had new pads and discs on the front, an oil service done by me through my work to keep the FBMWSH going and frotn controll arm bushes.
Trevor has seen the car as well.
He wants 6K for it for a quick sale as hes getting a company car real soon. He's already dropped the price by 500 just to get it gone as hes had nothing but bruvs and messers offering peanuts for it, well they can go a buy the scrap the i previously looked at coonts!
He payed 6800 for it back in oct and has spent anothe 500 on it since.

I am about four months in to owning my 2nd E39, this is the 540 and previously i had the 528. Dad has the 528 now and coming up for 300000km with no issues
best car i have ever owned for the money, just keep an eye out for poor elelctrics, broken interior trim and over heating on some engines (plastic impellor on waterpump). rear suspension is quite complicated and a couple of control arms but pattern parts are cheap - and squeking from rear end are these arms, front end knocking is just your basic bushing/control arms. steering can weep but mainly seems to come from the pipe below the fluid reserviour so check carefully round here..
engines are bullet proof M52 2.5 and M54 3.0 still go well in this body, the 4.4 is a bit thirsty for UK but if you have the cash for fuel.....
