@Z31 - Ive owned a Z3M and was scared to death to take that anywhere near the limit (1 owner 36k on the clock) as it just didn't feel as sure footed as the Boxster S.

I never spun the Z3 in 5 years, but in the 1 years ownership of the Boxster, I spun it twice, and got away with it twice! Scared the shit out of me though the second time, was very very lucky, and had to sell it soon after. I drove them the same, but in the wet, the Boxster just gave away so easy. I had a Dakar Yellow 2.8 Z3, and a fully colour coded Speed Yellow 3.2, both looked stunning!Falkster wrote:@Z31 - Ive owned a Z3M and was scared to death to take that anywhere near the limit (1 owner 36k on the clock) as it just didn't feel as sure footed as the Boxster S.

i must admit, i thought the Z4 was a bit of a 'retirement treat sports car' until i went to the 'ring. this was the first time i've seen them driven in anger and i was very impressed actually.
I have yet to drive or passenger in one though

The only one i ever drove was an early 3.0 auto. It felt nice, 'tighter' than a Z3.
Unfortunately this is how the car looked at the end of that journey..

It was a cyclist!
It was pitch black and pouring with rain, i wasnt in a lit area, and the Z4 has letterbox windows.
I pulled out of a junction and he just went over the bonnet, I had no idea he was there, he had no front light.
It was horrible, I thought i'd killed him at first, but he was completely fine. His bike was fine apart from the pringled front wheel too!
The car was fooked though! Ruined the wing, scratched and dented the bonnet, ripped a headlamp washer out. On the other side he managed to dent the wing and door, and rip the wing mirror off!
