Best pre-washing

what product can I use to make a good pre-washing (degreasing) on my m3 blue macao?
I would like it a not too aggressive

I've been told snow foam is the best, search detailing world.

You power wash your car, cover in snow foam then that agitates all the cack and lifts it, then power wash again which gets rid of any cack so you minimise the swirls.

Do you use the 2 bucket method?

Best pre-wash solution I have used is Chemical guys strong wash. Mixed as per insturctions (something like 2/4 caps per gallon iirc) and sprayed on using a hoselock pressurised spray bottle. Allow to dwell for 2-3 minutes or more if the sun allows then rinse off using a hose. I never pressure wash off at this stage as the grit is still on the vehicle.

I also have all the stuff to snow foam and it's a real giggle to do but I personally don't thing it's much better than the above method for the amount of dirt that accumulates on my car between washes.

^ as above, or I use MEgs APC in the karcher foam lance, then use megs super degreaser in small amounts on the wheels and tyres/arches.

In a nutshell:
Snow Foam, leave for 5 minutes and use a brush to agitate in the badges, grills etc.
Pressure wash rinse
Wash (Mitt, 2 bucket)
Clay
Polish
Wax
Wax
Wax

2 Bucket is one for the shampoo, the other for rinsing the mitt to get rid of the grit etc. It's also worth having a grit guard in the bucket too. www.polishedbliss.co.uk have some good info or the Meguiars website has video too.
Meguiars is decent stuff unless you want to quickly empty your bank account!

I can't remember the last time I washed a car in sunlight. Even in the height of summer I don't attempt it unless I can get the car totally in shade.




Mind, I am an earlybird. I'm usually about before 06hr00. In summer I'm often washing one or other of our cars before 06hr30.

No sorry Stu, I didn't mean I wash in sunlight but there is always a certain amount of heat and you have to be cautious of that.
