Mine is exactly the same as yours, looks very afterthought-ish. I don't think it's for anything, especially as there's nowhere for it to go

hmm never saw that before, but then again i have no experiance with a 318, i am assuming that is what you run. Does look a bit disconcerning, you must be thinking if you should tighten it up or not!?!?!?

Obviously it's a boost controller.

I have a few hoses like that now that I don't have an AFM. Not with screws that big though.

Boost controller!? 8O Yeah that's probably it! And I looked at my ICV the other day, but it wasn't an ICV it was a turbo! And then I found two more cylinders hidden behind the first four, and in my airbox was a nitrous kit and then I pushed a special button the wheels all folded under the car it went up in the air and a recorded message said 'Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads' and I shot along and was transported back to 1985 which was good because the 318iS wasn't even out then and people thought it was a brand new car, but then I broke down and had to wait until 1989 to get new parts.

Anyway...back in the real world, it is, I believe, just a fat screw plugging up a fat hole. I also have a jubilee clip on mine, and tightening it up will do nothing more than seal it up better.

With too much time on my hands,

Neil

LOL at the back to the future episode.

anyway, as said, it's a blocked up hose. I'll look on mine and see what's there.

 dutchy boy. Demlotcrew said "There should be a cap on there to block that nipple off as its used for Cat equipped cars. The nipple breaks and its not listed on the ETK so someone has put a hose with a screw which is quite common and nothing to worry about. But you can get your dealer to trace one down"

Ive put this up incase any future iS owners need to know.

Do you have the cap then Tom?

Cheers guys 8)
