none are better
some have the smilies some dont
some people think the smilies are more desirable
personal preferance at end of the day

As above, it's personal preference really.
I think you'd get more money for the smileys though.

the ones on the 318 are the "newer" version of the headlights, theyre called "smileys".

The 316 "bullseye" have less of a sharp cut off than the smilies. Many people prefer thet bullseye ones. However the difference is probably very slim by now, with scrathed lenses etc etc

The idea of having a cheap car is to make your's better with the stuff you have'nt got. It all depends which one you have decided to keep but smiley's are a newer version of head light.

no you cant repair the lense, but you can transplant the glass.

Yes!
the glass can be cut off with a stanley knife.
then swap the glass / insert and use translucent silicone to glue it back together.
but Watch your fingers...

the smileys are different guys they shed more light on the road in front ov the vehicle thats the difference
