Lachs silver 2.5 touring project. new goodies

Picked this up off a fellow zoner, last week. He kept the 15" bbs's hence the biscuit wheels, handling was evil!!!

He told me an old couple had owned it for years, and i do believe it has never been booted. As it seems to be getting faster by the day.

It took me to Norwich and back on Sat, to pick up a grey sports touring interior, in a much nicer grey.(beige was minging) and didnt miss a beat.

Its done 166.000 and has got full service history from dealer up to 150.000.

Plans are:
- Change trim (nearly done)
- Ive put some 15s back on it
- Source a near side rear passenger door
- Sort out the other body work issues
- Might even drop it

will keep you posted with pics as it progresses.

it is scruffy in places but nothing that cant be sorted,once the trim is all in and i change the
bbs's for some nicer ones it will be 100% better.

im gonna get it up the body shop this week an see wota da costa.

its gonna be my daily for a good while yet

oh and me saucpans love the "arfer daley in car phone

been doing a few bits to the old girl.

trim is in just gotta sort the front carpet an source sum kick panels.
stole the wheels and mtech 1 from me cabby.
gave it a good ol clean an polish .
still got a few bits to do.
the clock lights packed up on the speedo side
when the old bill was following me last night!

Like what you've done with it so far, seems ripe for a manual conversion?

Give the dash a friendly tap above the clocks, might bring your speedo backlight back to life for a while.

cheers mate its gettin there ,i put the front half of the carpet in today.

the old one was like a sponge it was soaking!

the tourings my daily so i want a bit of comfort and ive got a 2dr 2.5 manual
that gives me a leg ache after a few hours lol.

the dash has been beaten up so it looks like the clocks have to come out

loving the bootlid! nearly the same as mine but ive got a black boot and the car is white i quite like it nice rims also are they the deeper dish bbs's?

suspension wise im thinking of standard sport set up, dont wanna go too mad
my other two have 60/40 drops and it gets a bit much over the speed bumps.

the wheels are standard motersports i think picked em up at xmas set of 5
£85 present to meself

the arfer daley phones in the bin you can have it if you wanna come collect it.

Its much nicer ,now that old beige trim was nasty when i was pulling out the carpet it tore itself in half.
