Hi Guys

Is it possible to weld up a Sport LSD? Was going to buy an open one but thought as this diff is not locking up anymore might as well weld her! Let me know if its possible!

Kindest regards,

Pete

It's for drifting and she has stopped locking up properly - we have a good ratio in here as well. This one has done 230k and no more locking up :0( So is it possible to weld it up?

Your LSD can be refurbed with new clutch plates. If I was in your position I'd sell the slipper and buy an open diff of the correct ratio to weld.

Good point - I might re-consider welding it then! Thanks for the responses.

i can 'tweak' your diff to full on hooligan 75% locking spec winkeye
30° ramps, 4 plate upgrade etc are all possible.
whatever you do, don't weld a slipper!
I have various open diff spools here you could practice welding on if you're doing it the cheap way.
hell, if i can keep the worn LSD pack, i'd get it done for you for free winkeye

Selll the diff for £250 as most people seem happy to pay that for an item
that needs serviced after 20 plus years and get open diff for £50 and get it welded by a local tramp drifter
