Afternoon!
I'm looking into aftermarket ecu's for my track car now I have the loom out and I'm planning the new set-up.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Cheers

played around a lot with an emerald on both my metro and a mates elise. superb bit of kit, very easy to setup and adjust, tons of free basemaps to get you started and great customer support.
i've had no issues at all with mine, and as it sit's idle 99.99% of the time i'd love to get it fitted to the e30!

Evening
Thanks for the input, some really interesting bits of kit!
I've asked for some information from the Emerald guys and also the DTA guys, will see what is most suitable for the job.
Thanks again!

The big PLUS for the emarald is the fact that Dave Walker will map it for what I think is an absolute bargain. YOu just have to book a few month in advance to get on his Dyno.unclemat wrote:Evening

i've only ever heard good things about him and his remapping, although i've never been there he's only about 20mins down the road.
the base map i used on the metro was very close and has been tuned by feel and ear. i'm sure fine mapping would get it even better but at the moment it starts and idles fine from all temperatures despite not running an idle control valve, and is smoother and more driveable than the standard ecu / plenum setup was on the standard engine! i'll save the propper mapping until it's got a engine worthy of it.
even 5 years back they had fitted them to a huge range of cars, these days there probably arent many things they havent fitted one to!
