A couple stupid wiring questions

Feel like I should know this but anyway!

Firstly, what is the thing coming off a pipe on the underside of the throttle body. Guessing a MAP sensor? And where should the other end of the pipe connect to?

Secondly, you have the screw on bayonet for the MAF sensor, whats the second similar plug for?

I think the thing you`r on about is a coolant valve.
I asked about it the other day.
One pipe comes from the TB as you said and then the other pipe thats atached to the valve goes to the head some where.(not sure where.)

The other plug your is for the charcoal filter .

Fuel tank vent valve. Bin it and blank the throttle body. You wont be able to use it anyway because I chopped out the elec plug for it

The 4 pin round plug is for the lambda sensor, with a small bracket from a 5 series engine it will fit on the block just below the starter motor

Oh that thing.
Cant remember what thats for but you dont need it,just cut it back and plug it.

Looks like i need to just keep my mouth shut and just watch and learn.
I`ve just been outside to look at mine and that connection isnt for the charcoal filter.The only one like that i could find is for the air meter.

Ah Dan where would I be without you!

I was looking on the loom for ages as I swore I had unplugged that thing, that explains it. Hmmm I think I need to buy a Lambda as IIRC, both of them are chopped off (m52 mani). I shall go look.

Right went and reminded myself of how my system is.

The exhaust came down from the mani's into a 2 into one collector on a 3" diameter pipe which connected to a custom exhaust, as I bought the engine from a rally car. The lambda is in this section.

So should I just remove it and replace one of the chopped up lambda's on the m52 manifold? If so does it matter which one?

It will be better in the single pipe, M50's have the lambda located around the gearbox area as standard

But I am mating the manifold up to my scorpion downpipes from the m20 so thats not an option.

Best to get a nut welded on to screw the lambda in to the downpipe then?
