Chaps, I need some advice.
I need to replace my exhaust on a early 1987 325i. I have bought a complete scorpion system including downpipe (which has the four stud, two pipe flange to attach to manifold).
My manifold is a 6 branch (type unknown and looking worse for wear at final exit) which ends with two pipes and these appear to be joined to a section of pipe which then attaches to the centre box section by flanges.
My question is do I:
i) acquire an original manifiold (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do ... g=11&fg=50) and connect to new downpipe.
ii) Cut new downpipe and join to existing manifold (bearing in mind the state of the end of the current manifold and will I achieve a good join without welding)
I will put an add in the wanted if option i) is taken up but, just a feeler, anyone got a 6cylinder exhaust manifold in good nick??
Cheers for any help
Mike

Keep the 6 branch and get someone to join the two together, shouldn't require much thought for an exhaust fabricator.

Can anyone suggest how to test if the boot lights are staying on with the boot shut?
