I was just wondering would a 325i full engine pop into a 320 after the old engine is removed.
Is it a simple swap or is there loads of mods involved and would it cause havoc with my insurance as it will not be standard anymore.

Cheers

will def be a lot easier when the old engine is out
is pretty much a strate swap as far as i know plus if you get a chip off ant u dnt even have to change the ecu
as for insurance will def go up but dnt know how bad will be?? hth :rasta:

ps not sure how gbox and diff will behave if left as 320 parts??

Not sure about the diff, but the g/box ratios are different between 320 & 325.
320 box has numbers closer to a Sport box than a 325.

m8 dont worry the engines a straight swap ive done it the only difference is the ecu and afm. my gearbox and everything else is still 320 with no problems at all nothing 2 worry about do it squire a 2.5 will fly mine does as for the insurance dont tell them they`ll never know even if u get pulled by the police to look at the engine they r the same even if they do find out just say u bought the engine as a 320 and u dont know shit about motors ok?

isnt the diff on the 325 a limited slip where as the 320 diff isnt? bound to end in tears if not changed aswell.
