In my opinion a good replica would require genuine panels fitted like bmw fitted them, a prefacelift LHD cabby, Some sort of M engine s14 would be hard to get hold of so S52 or something, lots of morsels, with a standard sport leather interior, 5 stud setup, genuine 5 stud e30 BBS and an original colour that the m3 came in. Thats the only way to pull one off. In my opinion people who build replica m3s and fit wacky interioirs and counil cheap tat along with some wacky paint are just trying too hard. I dont think anyone would do that to a real m3 would they?
there is a very good replica in the photogallery at the moment, but in my opinion the colour lets it down as it isnt an offical m3 colour
So it is possible but i would imagine the time you have finished it would be just as expensive as a real one

this is what worried me, by the time i managed to source all the genuine parts it may just be easier to start saving and get a real one....

I totally agree with Alex....the only way to actually make it look good is to get the original parts, which by the time your done with it, put in an extra couple of grand and you have the real thing....theres a white one on s14.net, that was one epic thread

Hi Rav
I saw that, looks the muts nuts, thats what gave me the idea, its either a tech 1 with the kit you sold me or go nuts and try for the M3 replica....issue is i dont have a huge budget a present so may have to do something like this bit by bit.....
or sell all 4 BM's and start saving for the real deal, which would be nice but i have a habit of changing my mind so would end up buying something else to play with whilst im saving and never get there....
