ah - so you'd need all the wiring from the mirror to the speaker well then?
damn i cut mine
just have to solder it in then
If you wire it in properly does it work all the time or only on the ignition?

like Richy says mine also works off ignition stage1
if you have leccy sunroof there is a Green sleeved wire that runs from accesory connector behind glovebox up the a-pillar then to sunroof switch connector - tap into that wire

I just ran the wires across to the interior light on the drivers side and wired it to the, doesn't need the ignition on either.

Did it with mine, one part of the mirror in the hole then the end of screw driver in the otherside of the hole pushing the spring in on mirror, then just try to push the mirror all the way in as you pull the screw driver out.

it comes out easier than it goes in
i took 3 attempts to get the mirror in try some copper grease on the
ends then put left side in first and use a fat screwdriver to push real hard
whilst pushing the mirror up hard at same time.
its a little barsteward but it will go in eventually

Your all legends!! Got it in 2day 2nd try..
Hadnt been giving it enough well in fear of breaking it. With a bit of brute force and ignorance (left side in 1st) it popped straight in!! Woohoo!! Now for the wiring
