Hi,
As it says above. Anyone know whether i need to get H (up to 130mph) or V rated (159mph?) tyres on my car.
I am a bit confused as i think the top speed is about 130mph or so, just on the borderline.
Cheers

....erm, are you going to do 130mph?
Yes = V rated
No = H rated
....that's just my opinion, possibly not correct!

I was thinking more about my insurance being invalid with the incorrect speed rated tyres on the car?

The speed rating for the tyre is for safety reasons!
As your car can do over 100mph it is best to go for V rated it has stronger side walls to handle the road so you don't blow a tyre at high speed. You can change the speed rating as long as it is the same either side of the axle but alway's best to stick with what was original to the car, not down grade to a cheaper tyre. Unfortunately it does boil down to price but what's more important, your pocket or your life?

Thanks for that. I will stretch to V rated if i can afford to. I am still not sure what was original to the car though and that is what i wanted to find out.
Thanks.
Thanks.
