my car has been parked up for 2 months and yesterday i took it out for a little drive, everything was ok like before...
however today i went to the shops and when i got back in i turned the ignition and it just kept making a clicking sound instead of starting up..
the cliicking is coming from the side of the engine where the fusebox is but its not from the fusebox.
i checked the engine shook the HT leads and a few other things and after a while it started up.
when i got home i thought i might aswell test it fully and now the car is doing the same again and won't start.
i have checked the battery connections and they are solid
i have read something about the pully sensor being dirty but i don' know where that it??
Car won't start

sounds like the starters either gone or on way out
try tapping it and see if thats sorts it
or put car in gear and rock it back n forth gently as may have lost a tooth on starter this should push it forward enough to allow it to start hth

In my experience, (I've had 6 batteries go on E30s over the years) that definitely sounds like the battery is on its way out. It will probably let you down again and when you least want it! Get it checked out on a meter somewhere. Hope I'm wrong!
