I spotted this lurking on my local gumtree and was half-thinking about buying it and using it as a parts car for the e28, or maybe if it's salvageable putting it on one side for a bit of restoration at a later date. Unusually for one of these, you can't actually see daylight through the wings, though that may just be all the filler in the way!

Is there anything unusual/saleable about it that might make a few quid back off the asking price (which is low low low)? Is it a Highline or whatever it's called like that rather nice one that was on here a few days ago? It's only a standard 635 so I'd have no great qualms about ripping it apart...

The guy says it needs 'light restoration'!! winkeye winkeye winkeye winkeye winkeye winkeye

Not a highline. Any decent chrome should make good money. Speak to KOS. He's got a nice e24 and will know what things go for.

Sports leather interiors usually go well, Manuals are sought after, but metric bottletops and rusty front bumpers aren't. Good front bumpers are desireable. Restoration costs can be horrific. It's an E28 clothed in a Karmann rust trap so mechanically it's cheap and easy to fix, but bodywork and trim gets very dear to repair.
