that the e34 has aged very well and still looks the part even today? as i was looking at a pic in another thread of all the fives lined up and i genuinely think the e34 is the best looking of the lot!
(i do own one though so i may be a bit biased!)

Not too sure myself, I still love the E34 as I've owned quite a few, but they do look pretty old nowadays - BTW E39's are sh1te, rather have an E34
Previously owned loads of old E30s, E34s, a few E36s, E32s, E39s and an E38.
Currently in a diesel Audi - miss me old E30's....

Nope, the E28's clearly the looker of the bunch!
Seriously though, the E34 is a very good looking car, especially when you see a nice one. I'd have an E34 M5 in a heartbeat.

It has aged well but is looking dated now. Even the 39 is looking dated now IMO when it's parked beside an e60.
Prettiest of the bunch for me has to be either a late 34 M5 or a nice 535iSE e28.
i've been thinking of late what I'd change my e39 530i Sport for and as it's my daily and not my "classic" I'd like to upgrade to a 530 sport e60. But they are still holding good money.
I suppose I could hunt down a nice Champagne 11 e39 as a stop gap until the e60 drops some more. It's probably the only one I'd entertain now.

I followed a lovey 530i E34 today, and I must say I want one.
I think they are the second best looking 5, with the first being the E28.

E34 looks dated now.. Not to say a proper one still doesn't look nice, but most are scrap now..
I would love an E60 530i if I had the choice

Best looking 5 ever - SA spec, zinnobar, all blacked out trim, M-Tech kit and seats...
Mine's identical to this in appearance, with the exception of the seats and wheels (and the 2.8!!). At least, it will be once I'm done scraping off the crud of a few decades...

This is what I'm on about:
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p
£14k for a 530i e60 with no mention of mileage
compared to sub £8k for a sub 80k Champagne e39:?

I agree with Ollie. Even though they are starting to show their age compared to modern cars (only natural), a tidy E34 still looks good today. The build quality is also some of the best I've ever seen on a BMW.Ollie_bwoii wrote:I followed a lovey 530i E34 today, and I must say I want one.

i think like most bmws ove the years in base spec they can look awful but with very basic upgrades like the right wheels or simple body kit like an e30 with se body kit they look totally different
this was my 530i v8 no body kit just some simple rare 17" wheels and it always attracted attention

E34s were great cars and in the right spec still look good. Alas they are going through their council phase at the moment, it will be another year or two before most of the rubbish is weighed.

i just think that if you look at a 1989 ford or vauxhall or audi for that matter any other car of 1989-90 and the e34 was well ahead of its time as the other brands do look very dated the e34 does not imo!

I'd say the e34 does look dated. But in a good way. I'm thinking to keep my e34 and get rid of the e39

My dads old 525i sport. Heated seats, OBC, A/C. Lol that headunit is in my car now. Got this instead of a rare B10 4.0 in a salavge yard.
I think I want one as a daily car when I can afford two insurances.

Its now in Northern Ireland. Owners pics.

A manual E34 525i is a car for life. The last proper over-engineered BMW IMO.

I'm not so sure, I bought one earlier today and its the first manual one I've driven and it feels sluggish. Def not as nippy as the 325i Touring I drove there to collect it...darkchild wrote:A manual E34 525i is a car for life.
