i have put sport springs in my e30 and fitted 17 inch rims. As a result I have had to repair and repaint the left wheel arch twice where the wheel has hit the arch. last week my son borrowed the car filled it with mates and now the arch is buggered again. Is it possible to roll the arch yourself or is it a professional only job?

A jack under the car, a jack under the trailing arm and a piece of scaffold tube can work well, I pulled the rear arches on my compact to fit 9in 5 series offset wheels and it looked virtually factory. Will probably need the lip repainting though and if there's anny filler in the arches it'll fall out!

I've seen some shocking 'pro' arch rolls with a proper arch rolling tool which look like they were done by a blind 5 year old, hence deciding to have a go myself.
cheers,
