can i keep the existing gearbox that comes with the m50 engine ?
ie: e34 engine and box in my e30 ??
if i can use e34 box what prop shaft and diff can be used to be the correct length and fitment ?

have engine mounts all in place, just waiting on this info before i plonk the engine in...

Have a look in the M50 section you should find some answers to your questions and possibly more.

An e36 prop with E30 centre bearing is what you need but you will need to find a diff with a better ratio than the one in an e30 as 5th gear is overdrive in an e30 and 5th in the e34 box is 1:1 unless its a really early m50 box and it could be an overdrive box.

Not 100% but i think you need a 328 prop.
