Depends if you went with fibreglass replica parts or genuine panels. Either way, i don't think it's cheap to do, getting all the panels lined up correctly and fitted properly would take a fair few hours in the bodyshop.
Thinking about this for your cabby?

Fmh m3 rep looks like a very good job, suppose i need to contact him. Can you still get hold of genuine arches? This white cab is the best iv ever seen by far, maybe the best car iv ever seen, iv fallen for it.

Yeah i'm sure he'd be able to tell you most of the details of the bodywork and costing. He's helped me out with info.
I love it too, i want one like it

Yip - I agree best looking car I have seen by a long shot the guy spent a fortune on this replica, done in a BMW repair shop - theres a thread with a link to it somewhere.F17RAK wrote:
So how much will it cost to make a e30 cab to look like this, forget the wheels & 5stud etc. Just the body, will it sit rite & look as good as this?
Only thing better would be a proper M3 that looks exactly like this

According to REALOEM site, you can still get most bits. The main thing you need are arches, the guy who did the one i have, didn't have completes so he made the most of what he did have and its a good job.ImysE30 wrote:Yeah i'm sure he'd be able to tell you most of the details of the bodywork and costing. Bumpers and skirts occasionally pop up on ebay. A rear on there now iirc.
£350ish per rear quarter, £150ish per front wing. Bumpers fetch £100 rear, £100-200 front, skirts £100-200.
There's a lot of people who'l say, why make a replica, when you can buy the real thing, my simple view on their opinion is; "I DON'T GIVE a FU*K WHAT YOU SAY". It my money, its me who is going to drive it, so i do what i want..
Personally a m3 rep on a cabby couldn't get any easier, if you get the right parts, its a simple bolt on job. And some look better than the real thing, e.g. This white one above, the ferrari red one in the US.
As a rough estimate, i'd say £2.5k on parts and labour to get the body looking right. Wheels/Interior/Suspension/ICE is all down to how much you "want" to spend and not "need" to.

It looking great!
They don't make bm's like this anymore!..They should.

Need to refurb the wheels and fit the tyres so i can see if theres any rubbing, rather sort it before paint. Apart from that, i might spray the engine bay matt black.ImysE30 wrote:![]()
What's left to do on the rep?

Yeah that's a good idea, should be okay with the wide arches though.FMH wrote:Need to refurb the wheels and fit the tyres so i can see if theres any rubbing, rather sort it before paint. Apart from that, i might spray the engine bay matt black.ImysE30 wrote:![]()

I can't be bothered to take the engine out again with all the wiring for the painter to do it in the same colour. I'm just going to spray it black with my MIDI compressor and gunImysE30 wrote:Yeah that's a good idea, should be okay with the wide arches though.FMH wrote:Need to refurb the wheels and fit the tyres so i can see if theres any rubbing, rather sort it before paint. But after all the effort and time you've spent on it, i think it'd be worth the extra couple of hours to remove the engine but that's me

It'l just delay it getting on road, so i don't want to risk it. No one will see it underneath, so its all good. The tech will be the same colour as i already know its going white. I've still not decided for the rep.
