Small update tonight (No jhonno it's not in yet)

I went to Steve's (E30topless) early Sunday morning to pick up a Jimmy Hill spoiler for the chromie along with some rear disc trailing arms. Although the trailing arms were to far gone in the end Steve is sorting a good pair for me. Cheers Steve.

Then it was back up the A1 to York for a CR24v meeting. E30beemerlad and Danthe.
That's where I picked up these little beauties

They will look the nuts covered in brand new leather with my E30 rear bench :woohoo:

Thanks Dan your my hero :o:

So hopefully my next update will be rear beem new diff and disc trailing arms fingers crossed. :D

Yes mate I get my work van back as a daily start of next month.

Hopefully take the chromie off the road then and get it round to the trimmers and chuck the 24v lump in it ready for running in and mapping.

Can't wait now just want it finished so I can enjoy it. 8)

Impressive work Dezzy! 8)

Is all this work to get to B30 still easier than transplanting an M54B30 (from a 330i?) or is it partly the challenge too?

In all honesty mate it's probably the hardest way to get a 3lt 24v motor. I didn't set out to build it this way and prob's wouldn't do it again.

A 330 motor is stranggled by emisions and doesn't make very good power but would be an easy conversion same as any M5x bolt straight in.

I couldnt be arsed with keep fit windows and brown glass

i would like to give the IS the 24v treatment, seems a perfect shell, and now the timing chain is quite rattly (nothing to do with the 7250rpm action :snigger: ) it seems to make sence :)

Just gotta build up them no claims got 2 years so far
