The tyres ruin that car imo, they need to be a higher profile.
Other than that it is rather tasty.

That is a very good point, I knew something wasn't quite as good as it could be. What size do you suggest? I have noticed a tech 2 on the for sale thread and it does seem to sit better.

It needs 205/55R15, the original size.
It also needs a chrome kidney grill, orange indicators and side repeaters, UK plates and a tech 1 rear spoiler.
Then it will be back to standard.

As I said guys NEARLY there

The spoiler needs spraying, I have a grill and I will buy the indicators however, as the car is in the UK and I don't live there at present it isn't so easy to do. Be patient guys she will soon be as she left the factory.

There's nothing like nit picking, the car looks awesome mate. Tech 1 beats all, best bodykit, best rear spoiler, they're just the dogs danglies!

I agree the tech 1 does beat all. It is good (depending on your point of view) that they are becoming a rare breed, if posts on here are to be believed they are as rare as the Audi RS2 I used to have! I toyed with selling and getting a tech 2 but decided against it, I think a manifold and possibly a BBTB may just finish her off nicely.

I remember this being for sale for strong money. Got job on returning back to the BBS. Looks like a very clean tech1.
How much did you buy it for if you don't mind me asking?

£2800, it has had a full restoration ie new rear arch and back panel and all rust cut out then a full respray so I new it was solid. I put the standard springs and wheels back on also a hew driver's bolster, I have put the fire bottle in too and recaro badges in the seats. I will put a manifold on and get most of the running gear and subframes re-finished. I would like a genuine Alpina one day but hey wouldn't we all!!

Cheers Baz

I must admit guys I do like the wheels that came with the car

sorry! However, I am a greater fan of standard than I am bling so they had to go. Who knows I may get a cheap E30 just to stick the wheels on....like the wife will wear that one.

I have got a 6 branch to go on along with a sump guard and gearbox cover so that should keep me busy. I aim to get the subframes and suspension shot blasted too so should keep me busy! Anyone know a good sandblaster in the Shrewsbury area?

I was in the UK last week and discovered the tyres are 205/50/15

So the hunt is now on for a set of 205/55/15's which I think will make it sit a lot better.

Indeed its only a small thing but 55's are just more in proportion. Get concealed balancing while youre at it for the cleaner look i reckon
