In the current BMW Car magazine there is review of the M635Csi, Z1, M3 and Z3M Coupe. It says they are all geat which I guess most people will agree with. In the editorial on the first page the editor answers the question which would he rather have. He says his first choice would be the M635CSi and then the Z1.
What do you think of that?
In the case of the M635CSi, I agree with him.
M635CSi and Z1 more desirable than E30 M3

z1 almost seems a bit of a concept car than a real car...would take the six over it anyday, but even the six series is a bit too bulky and fussy.....maybe i'm biased, but do prefer the lines of the m3...well proportioned IMO....would love to have another
I'm clearly biased but all I've got to say is big hairy bollox.
The 635 probably has a wider audience and the M3 is more in your face, double hard bully boy.

My top 5 best ever BMWs would be:
1. M635CSi Highline Motorsport Edition, macao blue with white leather - 286bhp!
2. E30 M3 special edition: Evo, Cecotto, etc - I'm a sucker for special editions
3. Alpina Z1 RLE (and maybe normal versions) - because of the doors, okay!
4. 3.0 CSL - 'cause they only made about 500 and can't be many left now.
5. standard E30 M3
At 4.5 I'd put a Mercedes 190E Evo 2. Can I say that here?
