I was wondering if anyone had any pics of e30s with these 5 spokes:

I'm not sure I've ever seen them on a BMW let alone an E30, usually the sort of wheel seen on Mantas, Novas and Fords. They are Revolution RFXs aren't they?

These are Revolution 5 spokes (which are pretty similar to the RFXs) but used mainly on RWD stuff like mk2 Escorts, etc.

I believe that Revolution do a 9x16 RFX that fits an e30 and IMO looks

Sorry, no pic though

With revolution you generally have to call the factory, they will make them in any pcd/width/et but I think they only do the 5'er in 15" which is a shame because I would prefer 16".

Some people can do packages cheaper than the factory though...

Wasn't a bad guess? Not seen them for a long time.

You will need et+10 on the front if running these with 4 pots, They also dont come in an e30 centre bore so need spigot rings.

I rang rev and the chap I spoke to said he would make them from blanks to my spec so the centre bore would match :)

What width/ET are you running?

+ thanks for posting pics!

It is possible but the time it would have taken to get blanks machined wasn't worth it, have had loads of wheels made by revolution and they always take longer than they claim, I agreed to take a set which were already drilled for a Manta but hadnt had the offset machined yet. Fronts are et00 and rears are et20 8*15 all round.
The front needed a 10mm spacer to clear the brakes but would probably be OK with standard calipers, notice that the front arches have been heavily modded to get an extra inch to make up for the very low offset.

Revolution are too "70's" for an e30 IMO. Even though Griffin motorsport used them, they have to be one of the wrongest rims for an e30.

Leave them for the Mk2 Escorts.

Those are RFX's

Ross - No the wings are standard ones with the lip pulled out and a round bar welded on the edge to keep it strong

Schmidt make a very similar wheels - they're called modern line, come in one and three piece.

Quite a few VW boys use them, have a look on edition38.com
