Still chuckling to myself....
I bought a 1987 525e for £225 back in early october, it was mot'd until 16/04/10, thought I would run it until the mot was up and break it for the engine and sell the rest. When I picked it up I was shocked to find a nice original, well looked after car, missus fell in love with it and requested it be our wedding car (because it's white). Anyway, have n't spent a penny on it since buying it, use it everyday for work, thought I would mot it early and make a decision on what to do with it based on what it would fail on, went to pick it up tonite and the garage present me with a fresh mot!!, only two minor advisories!. RESULT!
Going to treat it now to a full service and lots of love! winkeye

Well done, always wondered about getting one of these one day :D
Previously owned loads of old E30s, E34s, a few E36s, E32s, E39s and an E38.

Currently in a diesel Audi - miss me old E30's....

cheers for the comments, must admit the eta engine has made me a fan of it, I love the lazy way it delivers it's grunt, great for just sitting back and wafting along, makes you wonder what BMW could do now if they revisited the original concept.

Find a 731 head, fit an ex 323i cam,and you will release around an extra 40bhp with little loss in low down grunt.
