Been cruising round and I always keep my eyes open for other E30s, and I seen some sweet 325i 318iS etc, obviously loved so I guess enthusiasts
BUT
I was expecting to get a flash or friendly wave, which does sometimes happen, but more often not.
What gives? Any of you folks wave to strangers? Or is this just me.

Only joking, most E30's around my way are driven by old people, so most wouldn't know the difference between another E30 and an HGV.

Nah, I know what you mean about the oldies but its been 2 cute girls (in different cars) and a young lad in the last couple of weeks but did have a good laugh with a guy in a C2 as he pulled out of a petrol station, gave a wave and a beep and then a little burst up a dual carriage way.

People in convertibles on sunny days wave
Otherwise nope.... Took some getting used to for me, as I'd previously been used to driving capris!

same as zayyan.
hardly any e30's around.
have only seen two sports in the last year a red one and seriously rusty silver one.
Never seen a m3 at all other than my m8's old evo 2 but that was about 5 yrs ago and it went to the isle of man.
i am quite happy driving around in my sport knowing thats its rare around here

I look for a sticker which is a bit daft!
I just sort of

at people waiting for them to wave first.
There are loads of E30's down here I pass at least one everytime I go out.

I always acknowledge other decent E30's some way or another. Nodding of the head in appreciation is the most common.

This subject is interesting!!
I found that when i had my Corrado every single Corrado owner used to wave or flash the light, even if they where old blokes/women whatever, but i have never had a E30 BMW driver wave of flash unless i was saygiving them right of way!!

I have had two now a 1.8 16V and a G60!! both faster than my iS and 320i SE!
G60 was nuggett Yellow and the 1.8 was candy White! bothnice cars but not built as well as the E30!!

I was thinking of getting another G60 and giving it the full Jabbasport treatment! To make it 220BHP easy! will have to wait and see! love my little E30 too much at the moment!

id rather a vr6 with schrick manifold and cams.
anyway back to topic in hand.
i think its gonna be a few yrs yet before the e30 reaches the same stage of flashing each other.

are they RWD?
lol
theyre quicker than a 325i, or an early m3 come to that.
oh and on a wet road will easily leave either behind.
but no they arent rwd.
so whilst quicker they may not be as much fun.
tho thats subjective
anyways i tried to put it back on topic.
