I think mine were posted last Friday. I won't get them till I get home though

I'm counting on having them soon so I can put them on with refurbished calipers.

Could someone post up a small how to? I've yet to see braided hoses. Whats in the package is it just the hose to replace the rubber one or is there more? Reason I ask is because I wrung the small nut on the end of the brake pipe trying to get the rubber one of

you get a 6 line kit mate?

yeah its just replacement for the rubber pipes (2 at the back) - just get some new hard lines from BMW, will cost you £20 for all the rear copper pipes. youl see what to do when you get them simples

The hard lines from BMW (more money ), do they have the conenctors on as well, and they aren't pre-bent either are they? I haven't had a look at the rears yet, prob not gonna happen untill I refurb the rear beam.

Oh right, i thought you were talking about the rears! Yeah they come with the connectors as far as i know, and are unbent but is an easy jobby!

Think dad might have the bendy tool (flaring tool to but said it wasn't great) I'll not be driving her to this weekends meet anyway if I need to get new hardlines and get them bent as well.

It's all a nice learning curve

Get new U shaped clips that hold the ends of the flexibles from BMW as well. Only a few pence each.
The stainless hoses fit in exactly the same way as the originals.

My hoses came today, wasn't expecting them to be here so soon.

I'll stick new hardlines and clips on the list.

2 (x2),4 & 5 if I'm not mistaken?

Nine of #2 on the car, IIRC.
Never changed 4 or 5 in my life - they don't rust.

The nut on the end of 5 didn't do to wall against a spanner yesterday when I attempted to take the rubber hose of. It's either the whole line or just the end piece. Only tried the drivers side of it, will be more carefull doing the other side.

The U shaped clips that locate each end of them probably could do with replacing (16p each, the last time I bought some), and there's little point attaching your nine new lines to 'point of MOT test failure' hard lines, especially at the rear.

due to refurbishment, we will be closed from Wednesday 31st March 2010 over the Easter break and re-open Monday 19th April 2010
during this time we will incur major disruption to both the workshop and goods in/out and will be unable to ship consignments or fulfill any mechanical work and therefore the only option was to have a full shut-down.
