I just got done £60 by the police for pressed german style plates :x
i only got the car wednesday i was not going any thing ilegal you would have thought if the cop was a decent bloke he would have told me to get it changes and let me off but no he took the front plate off and kept it and gave me a £60 ticket.

with the anount of big 4x4's and real flashy cars going around here with obvously ilegal plates. i was behinde an X5 with way ilegal spaced plates on after i got nabbed.
i have lost any respect the the cops round here (W4#K3RS) :piss:

They're probably hot on German style plates nowadays.

English font pressed plates are fine but anything that denotes it's not from the UK is illegal and they'll come down hard on you.

i had just bought the car and had not got round to seeing if they were legal.
they did not look that bad font was quite standard looking and the spacing looked standard too.

the thing that pi55es me off is the anount of flashy 4x4's and expensive cars here that have obvously ilegal plates and way too dark tinted windows but never seem to get pulled.

£60 is not the end of the world but is seems to be one law for them and another for the rest of us

it will cost you money over and over until they remove your plates and issue the car a "Q" plate. You really want that?

I'm pretty sure the flashy cars get pulled as well mate, probably alot more than you too... I feel for you on the fact they didnt even give you the chance to retify it, since you only just brought the car, but anything other than UK prefix is illegal so keep it in mind.

Dear god. You live in a police state. German font (plates) are actually designed to be read by ANPR so cant figure why they dont like it. The zero & the O are different so it works really well. In Ireland they are ok with german font as long as the EU flag & other small details are correct.

I think when you are at fault and you have got the illegal plates and you are showing the ignorance to the law it's hardly the copper's fault

Slowly but surely year after year, campaign after campaign, we will eventually drive about attached to GPS trackers. Cars won't have keys, but an authorisation panel linked to the DVLA.

Citizens will eventually have bar-codes tattoo'd on their foreheads and microships installed up ass..

"bend over sir, just a routine ID check" ..... "I see you have some illegal bum fluff there.... AND pressed plates"

Anyone know where I can find another one like this? I think we need a new one

Mate "not got round to it" don't cut it with the boys in blue as ignorance isn't an excuse.

It's one rule for everyone, yours were illegal, pay the fine and live with it.

Get your plates changed so you don't get another fine...
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.
