gingerpauly wrote:Peter, the car looks great - you were right to change the interior - it really finishes it off nicely.

You've done a lot in a fairly short space of time too. Did you get much for the interior when you sold it?

I'm glad you're happy with it and enjoying it as much as I did.

Have bought myself an e21 323i with some of the money from the selling the car to you - but am distinctly not enjoying it as I've had engine trouble from day one! :-x It's in at the moment have the big end looked at, could be a case of new shells, but need for a new engine hasn't been ruled out!

Cheers, will be in touch soon, Paul
Hi Paul

I'm Glad you approve what i have done to the car.
I’m sorry to hear your new project isn’t working out for you,
but hey.......
I’m sure it will all be worth it once all the teething problems have been fixed.

Have you got a few pictures to send me?

All the best Mate, if i can do anything to help, let me know.

Your car is tooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sexy geeza!!!

I have honestly had trouble trying to keep away from this pic. I can not keep my eyes of this combo.

Stunning sums it up very very nicely.

Hi Peter, Your car looks stunning. Who did the interior for you, and what does this sort of thing set you back? Also, you obviously stripped and reassembled yourself. Was this tricky and time consuming? How long did you take?

My interior could do with similar work - in cream! :D

Thanks.

It’s always the smaller details that really make the difference, if you’ve got the patients and your willing to put the time in, the cost can be kept to a minimal. I’ve seen so many e30’s that look great on the outside, but the interior is always last on the list and in most cases never gets completed; I believe this is the difference between a nice e30 and a good example of one, regardless of color, make, model or spec.

To completely remove the interior and carpet will take an estimated 2 to 3 hours.

To re- fit the interior and carpet will take an estimated 3 to 4 hours, however, if your carpet does not need to be removed, I would take an hour off removing /re-fitting time.

The cost can vary a great deal all depending on the condition of your interior, if you like, PM me some pictures and let me know what you are thinking of doing to your interior and I will give you a rough estimate of the cost.

The company that carries out interior works to my cars are called B-Trim, located in north London near Edmonton, fortunately for me I'm good friends with the owner.
PM me and I will give you his name and number, all you have to say is that you are a good friend of mine and he will look after you.

The cost of doing this particular interior set me back around £560/£580
Works carried out
Two drivers bolsters re trimmed
One passenger Bolster re trimmed
Two leather back speaker covers made and re trimmed
Shoe sprayed to match the interior
Carpets cleaned and a driver heal matt re fitted
Driver’s door card fixed and field
Back panels cleaned to bring back original colour
Two head rest fitted to the rear seats and re covered
Complete interior was re dyed.

Thanks for your interest
All the Best
Peter

Thanks Guys for all your comments.

I'm thinking of changing the wheels, any suggestions on a particular set that would suit?

I'd personally keep those wheels on it, they look amazing with the rest of what you have going on. Again, amazing interior... I would love to redo mine in that kinda colour but at the same time, I think it would take away the 'darker' side of my black... :D
