Thinking of getting a wind deflector for my Cab. Anyone have any experiences of the Classic Additions one?

There is also a genuine secondhand one on the bay too - reckon you guys are going to say go with OEM everytime?

Ben - Does the wind mess up ya hair? :P

There are some aftermarket one's on ebay, not bad at £130.

Can't see the benefit of paying OEM prices - I'm awaiting delivery of an aftermarket one I got cheap from Pistonheads.

You realise you need one when your cigarette packet starts levitating when you reach 90 MPH !

don't the atermarket ones required you to drill holes to fit - thought the OEM ones weren't bolted in.....? Anyone got a link to the ebay ones?

Don't buy an aftermarket one, they don't perform as well, don't look as good, and they are more expensive!

How?

Buy an original s/h one, use it, and you will be able to sell it for the same the other end of your use. Pay up to £175 and you are safe as houses. Aftermarket one won't be as satisfying, and you won't get your money back!

I've got very short hair so don't need one :)

I would have thought you'd have a custom made one done winkeye

Just turn up the volume on the stereo, I can hear plenty at 100+

I was toying with the idea of having it wrapped in leather, but where do you stop! I can hear my stereo at any speed even with the roof and windows down! lol

Wrapped in cream leather with red piping would look good, match the interior

Stripped out cabby and full off bass would be awesome winkeye

No I don't have one. Completeley ruin the convertibles lines and if you want open air and "nice" hair, then buy a saloon and open the sunroof!

Wheels look ok Malc. There was another e30 for sale with a set a few days ago.

I was going to say I saw some neat ones on Ziggy's car, in TBMW, but I can see he's made a post himself.

When you going to put us out of our misery and tell us where you got them from Ziggy?!!

What the Gooner said. There are usually some on eBay.de though - currently 3 sets.

Mine were £5, NOS, from eBay UK. :)

They're individual & fit to each seat/headrest - means they don't get in the way for rear seat passengers...

I'm sure they don't work as well as an OEM wind deflector, but they keep Han happy & they do get rid of the annoying buffeting to the back of your head! Or perhaps that was her too...

Liking those Kamei ones not seen them before but I am a bit of anorak for all things original. Maybe i'll stick with the fleece and keep the hair short until i know what the damage is for my post Winter hibernation service. :D Bloody road tax gone up £15 too

I know the cabs are all about wind in the hair but it can get quite fresh driving through the Peak District at 7 in the morning on the way to work :(
