yep :D
Hmmmm, a complete stereo loom may have to be my next purchase then. Can't be that expensive.....

Any idea if the loom from all 2 door's/4 door's is the same? Knowing my luck that's another annoying thing BMW changed in 1985.

most e30 looms like mine ive only seen in very late cars, mine is out of a touring, only difference will be the lenght of rear speakers and the fact the rear ones have connectors for touring speaker pods but these can be cut off and cut to length

ive got a 13 button obc on its way, so this would connect to the spare connector on this and i would do away with the OBC immobiliser ecu??
Yes mate, in place of the Black ECU that'll come with the OBC, just disconnet the plug and use the Blue ECU.
I found that out the hard way, connected it all up, bolted and covered everything, only for it not to start, so it all come back of and when I used the origional Blue one, it all worked.

What does the connector that goes into the accessory socket look like? is it like a number of wires going into one connector?

What are the earlier looms like? Maybe I should do a pic request.

The four cables are for the stereo then? How would I know what socket to put the cables in, as my car has never had an oem stereo loom. :(

Did you solder the cables to the accessory socket?

Sorry for all the questions, I really am an electrical novice. :o:

Have you contributed to the tattoo thread yet magpie?

Before you start spraying waxoil warm it up with a heat gun 8)

Yep, thats also why your waxoil looks like lumps of porridge chucked up the panels :D

Obviously, the can wont say "warm with a heat gun" due to health and safety bull :)

If you get the heat gun around what you have sprayed in the arch it will run into the gaps nicely, the best time to waxoil is in summer then to leave the car outside on a really hot day

Just stand the waxoil cans in a bucket of hot water. Not such a "health & safety" issue then :D And you can make a cup of tea whilst waiting for the heat to tranfer :D

Just took the cabby out after not being out for a couple of months. Paint is too bad as I thought. Needs new passenger wing and a respray to the passenger door its flat. Bonnet has lots of scratches. Interior is dirty. Drove it round the block and its went lovely. Really smooth ride. Will need to underseal the sills as its peeling off.
