What mirrors do you guys have on your cars?
Do most people stay OEM or are there any aftermarket ones that suit the car aswell?
Opinions please!

I think the OME type look the best on the E30, they got them just right, seen a few with M3 mirrors on them, are not bad, but don't look right, that's just me.

I'm not so much a fan of the M3 mirrors. They look ok, but on M3's!

the cheap dtm 'style' ones look terrible, the only acceptable ones are the proper copies of the real deal e30 DTM cars, either with or without the vents, and preferably in carbonfibre.
cheers,
harry

I bought a set of E30 M3 mirrors to put on my pre-facelift coupe, but I think I'm going to give the OEM ones a fresh lick of diamond black and keep them! They have grown on me lol
Anyone after a set of electric E30 M3 mirrors in Metallic light blue? Very good nick and i believe they are heated too. Pics/pricing available on interest.

E30 m3 mirrors are exactly the same as standard e30 mirrors.
Unless you mean e36 m3 copies made for an e30.
cheers,

What is the opinion on facelift mirrors on a chromie cab?
As I get older I realize that you can't please everyone - pissing everybody off is however a piece of cake

E36 mirrors are in fact copies of e30 mirrors, and used on the later race cars !!!! Personally I dont think the dtm ones suit a road car, they look a bit dumpy!

They look quite cool, I'd like to see them fitted though. It's really the only way to tell if they are going to look shite or not.

They are the same.
There is only one factory E30 mirror.

You can have colour coded on pre and post facelift and you can have plain black ones on both as well.

For me the original ones look best because they go with the square shapes of the E30, the DTM ones are too rounded and stand out like Plug's ears even though they are smaller.

Standard imo
Noticed a lot of E36 M3 (style) mirrors being advertised in the For Sale section as 'E30 M3 Mirrorz'

Sold:

I'm not totally convinced that e36 mirrors even suit e36 m3s!
They were probably the single most popular 'mod' in the mid to late 90s and ended up on 99% of barried up turds which taints even the real thing.
Odd seeing that e30 dtm car with them on, never seen them on one before, although for some reason my dim and distant memory seems to think they were only fitted for certain rounds like the nurburgring where a bit more of a view behind would be an advantage, and a helpfull tool for seeing how close you are to the car next to you! I can't see them lasting many laps at most of the normal dtm circuits.
cheers,
harry

Am I a spaz? Pre-facelift mirrors were black? I've never noticed!
