Hi, when re-wiring an M50 loom with the E30 block connector is it best to leave the wires the same length or should some length be added/taken away?

cheers

Well, they need to be the right length to reach the body side of the plug

How have people managed to get the ecu plug through the little round hole?
Its a bit tight and because im using an ex auto i`ve got two plugs. One being a little fater than the other.
I can get the smaller plug through but strugling to get the bigger one on its own,yet alone try to get both in.
Because im not sure which is which,i`m asuming the plug with more wires than the other one is the engine ecu and the other being the gearbox ecu.
I would like to cut the box ecu out but i fear that its a bit more complecated than my (very) basic leccy skills. So it looks like i`m going to have to let the g box ecu plug float around in the engine bay some where. :?
